Restore keeps a qualifying existing membrane in place. Permanent 100 removes the old membrane and installs a 100-mil ArmorFlex UV system. Extreme 200 doubles that sprayed ArmorFlex UV film build to 200 mils.

Thorough Preparation

On full tear-off systems, the old roof membrane is removed while the plywood deck remains intact where serviceable. The deck can then be inspected, repaired where needed, and properly prepared before the new roof system is applied.

On qualifying wood-deck travel trailers, fifth wheels and Class C roofs where the decking is already being removed, ask about upgrading the roof cavities with closed-cell spray foam before new decking is installed.

Insurance Claims Welcome

If your RV has covered storm or accidental roof damage, your policy may pay for qualifying repairs. Ask whether an approved repair can be applied toward an upgraded Highroad roof system. Coverage, deductibles, policy limits and upgrade costs vary by policy.

RV Roof Replacement Questions, Answered

Three things drive the number: the length of the RV, which of the three systems you choose, and what the inspection finds under the old membrane. A Restore job on a sound roof costs less than a full tear-off, and a 200-mil Extreme system costs more than a 100-mil Permanent. We inspect the roof before we quote it rather than pricing every RV the same. Call (602) 892-8925 for a free inspection.

It depends on what is under the membrane. If the deck is sound and the existing membrane is still bonded, a sprayed restoration is usually the better economic call. Once water has reached the decking, replacement is the only fix that lasts — patching a wet deck buys months, not years. That is why we inspect first instead of selling every RV the same job.

Usually not. Most RV policies cover sudden accidental damage — hail, a fallen branch, a collision — but exclude gradual water intrusion and deferred maintenance, which is what nearly every roof leak turns out to be. Check your own policy language; if the leak traces back to an aged membrane or a failed seal, expect to pay for it yourself.

A rolled-on coating from a hardware store is the cheapest thing you can put on a roof, and it is why so many RVs get recoated every two or three years. The cheapest way to replace a roof once is a sprayed, seamless membrane over a properly prepared deck. Of our three systems, Restore is the least expensive, because it keeps a sound existing membrane in place instead of tearing off a roof that does not need it.

Most roofs are done in a day or two. ArmorFlex UV is tack-free in about an hour, so the roof is never left open overnight waiting on cure.

Roof spraying happens at our shop in New River, north of Phoenix — the process needs heated plural-component equipment and a controlled environment. Our mobile side handles RV service and repair across the Phoenix Valley.

Arizona is the hardest place in the country to own an RV roof. One Phoenix summer puts a roof through more UV than three years almost anywhere else, and that is what finishes conventional EPDM, TPO and rolled coatings — they chalk, they crack at the seams, and the leaks start. ArmorFlex UV is an aliphatic polyurea, so UV stability is built into the chemistry instead of added as a sacrificial topcoat.
