For most applications, spray-applied polyurea outperforms sheet-applied waterproofing membranes in several critical ways. Polyurea forms a seamless, fully adhered membrane with no seams, overlaps, or mechanical fasteners — all of which are failure points in sheet systems. Polyurea also achieves elongation values of 600%+, allowing it to accommodate structural movement and crack bridging that would rupture or debond a rigid sheet membrane. Additionally, polyurea cures in seconds regardless of humidity, while many sheet membranes and adhesive-applied systems are sensitive to moisture and temperature during installation.
