AIR-PURGED PLURAL COMPONENT SPRAY GUNS
Air Purged Spray Guns are nothing new to the Polyurethane and Polyurea Coatings industries. The very first air-purged spray gun was designed and patented in 1974. Since 1974, other air-purge plural component spray guns have come to the spray gun market; however, the design, purpose, and functionality haven’t changed much, except for the spray equipment’s material. Many people have been willing to pay 3-4 times as much to have a name brand and a more refined design.
However, other companies have fine-tuned their designs in recent years, paying attention to customer complaints. With customers’ opinions in mind, in 2020, PMC promised to upgrade and enhance the most useful components and functionalities of the AP-2 and AP-3 spray guns, and in 2022, they fulfilled that promise. PMC has combined the most reliable and eliminated the least practical elements of these guns and turned their weakness into an extreme asset.
The PMC Xtreme gun offers demonstrated reliability, with as many as 60 sets of material sprayed with the same diamond plated mixing chamber and engineered resin side seal set. The robust trigger assembly has been enhanced, moving to a spool and liner designed for increased reliability and consistency. A spring-loaded check valve locks chemicals from the handle, stopping material seepage into any porting or trigger area.
