- SURFACE PREPARATION: Proper surface preparation is critical to the success of any rehabilitation process, and more any application of polyurea coatings in general. Before coating, the interior surfaces of the manhole are cleaned and prepped. All debris, sediment, and loose concrete are removed, typically using high-pressure water cleaning and/or sandblasting.
