ArmorThane’s AquaSafe is a special entry in our portfolio of ArmorLine products, our innovative line of high- and low-pressure spray-on polyurea and polyurethane coatings. AquaSafe is a two-component, high-pressure, pure aromatic polyurea coating engineered for safe storage of potable water. Its exalted status is attributed to its ANSI/NSF 6100 compliance, awarded after being tested by an ANSI-accredited laboratory, which rated AquaSafe for direct contact with potable water. Safe for storing drinking water and in food handling, AquaSafe has become an established technology for water tanks, water treatment facilities, food processing plants, animal habitats, and countless other environments that rely on water safe for consumption.

Like other ArmorLine coatings, AquaSafe is fast-setting and rapid-curing but additionally benefits from a short tack-free time of less than 45 seconds, together getting projects done faster and allowing them to take place in a wide range of different conditions. Moreover, AquaSafe also possesses a fast gel-free time, minimizing the risk of sagging. Designed for concrete and metal surfaces, AquaSafe leverages its unique combination of high tensile and tear strength with excellent elongation (up to 450% upon curing) to impart both strength and flexibility to coated surfaces, protecting them without risk of cracking and peeling from shifting, expansion, or contraction.
